The New Developments of Eurocode 9 for the Design of Aluminium Structures
The European CEN-TC 250 Committee recently started with the evolution project for a new generation of Eurocodes. Sub-Committee SC9 “Design of Aluminium Structures” (Chair, Federico M. Mazzolani) is proposing several improvements to the present EV 1999 version. This proposal, which is going to be approved by the European Commission, is based on the simplification issue and contains the introduction of advanced technological systems (like new types of connections) and new typologies (like large span roofings, special bridges and aluminium-glass facades).
